This single-family office (SFO) manages the wealth and financial operations of a prominent Indian industrial family behind a leading automotive group. What began with the grandfather’s manufacturing ventures has evolved into a diversified empire. With each generation, scale and complexity increased.
The SFO now spans dozens of jurisdictions, manages multiple custodians and banks, and supports a multigenerational ownership structure with varied needs.

The Challenge

For years, the finance team relied on Excel spreadsheets, standalone accounting tools, and manual processes. As the family’s financial footprint expanded globally, this fragmented setup became unsustainable. The team, though experienced, spent most of their time reconciling data instead of analyzing it. 
This led to friction across functions:
    • Disjointed systems: Data was scattered across silos, spreadsheets, local drives, and legacy tools, creating duplication, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies.

  • Full Audit Trails – Every transaction, approval, and adjustment was timestamped and user-linked, simplifying compliance and audit readiness without manual effort. 

The Result

With Asset Vantage, the SFO transformed its operations. Period close times dropped from 5–7 days to a few hours, with automated reconciliations and real-time ledger updates. Reporting became instant, live dashboards replaced outdated, manual reports. Despite increased complexity, the same lean team delivered more, faster, and with fewer errors. 
The need for external consultants or short-term resources during audits was eliminated, as 100% of transactions became traceable via full audit trails, timestamps, and role-based access logs. Meanwhile, user-level access controls allowed each family member to see only what they were permitted to, ensuring both privacy and transparency. This balance gave newer generations confidence to participate in financial decisions while keeping overall control in the hands of the core office.
